Had a local windsurfing get together the night before at Guys thatched hamlet. Not a bad meal but busy so a big long wait for the food. 13 Windsurfers in total along with wives/girlfriends etc making up a huge table of 23. A few travelled from Burnley area and one guy from Skipton which was a good effort.
A few of us arranged to go out on Sunday morning as forecast looked a bit wild.
I arrived there late as per usual as high tide was at stupid 'o' clock. It looked pretty windy and there were a few blown over trees on the way there so didn't know whether I;d be going out.
I got there to find Phil and Ian surfing the breaking waves so first thoughts were that it looked pretty shite for windsurfing.
And it was! gusty as hell and a real messy chop so I got cold and watched Phil, Ian and Chris in the akward conditions. They were on sails around the 4m mark but the wind was too inconsistent. Not a good day really and ever so slightly off shore.
